Stone Benchtops
Custom-Made Stone Benchtops:
If during your in-home planning appointment you expressed interest in having a stone benchtop installed in your new kitchen, the measurements of your design will be sent through to our preferred stone benchtop provider, Simple Benchtops.
Once processed, Simple Benchtops will be in touch with you directly with an indicative quote based on the measurements of the design generated at the appointment.
Depending on the thickness of the benchtop you have chosen to go with for your final design, will dictate what additional work LWDA will be required to complete to ensure a streamlined process for your benchtop installation.
- If having a 20mm thick stone benchtop installed, LWDA will need to create a template of your kitchen benchtop which will be checked by their templaters to ensure accuracy of measurements.
- If having a 40mm thick stone benchtop installed, LWDA will need to create both a template AND install a timber substrate (created out of 19mm thick Yellow Tongue timber) onto the new IKEA cabinets upon the successful installation of the cabinets.
This additional work LWDA will need to do will be reflected in your quote for installation as a separate item line. If you change your mind on the thickness of stone you would like installed after you have already received your quote, please let our administration officer know so that your installation quote can be amended, and so we are adequately prepared for your installation.
I would suggest once receiving your quote from Simple Benchtops, to book an appointment at their Dandenong South showroom with one of their highly experienced staff. This offers you the opportunity to see larger pieces of the finish you are considering installing into your space.
When visiting, be sure to bring any and all samples of other materials that will be in the space (e.g: cabinet door finish, flooring, wall tiles, paint, fixtures, etc) to ensure a cohesive and well thought out design.
